My parents and I were visiting Yellowstone in the spring of 2010 and spent most of the trip with this grizzly sow and her two cubs of the year (COY). My old Sigma 500mm lens broke and I was left with my 80-200 zoom. Thankfully, on this occasion, it was sufficient glass to capture the moment when the sow crossed the road in front of our car. While it hardly ranks as my best technical shot, it is one of the few grizzly and cubs images I have where you can see the eyes of every member of the family in the same frame.
