This is a great shot I took while looking at a pamphlet for Jasper National Park’s trail system:
While setting out on a hike, please be courteous. Share the trail with hikers, bikers, horses and, oh, yes, bears.
Simon and I browsed through the hiking guide and decided on a quick hike. Guess what? A bear showed up on the trail. Well, beside the trail, hidden in a berry bush getting his/her daily dose of vitamins. This little black bear gave us a glance, and continued on eating away.
Remember to always hike with bear spray in areas where bears are prevalent. And, of course, share the trail with them while you are at it.
It’s the polite thing to do.
