Every week for Throwback Thursday we’ll post an image from the (slowly uploading) archive – a scanned slide or still – I took from one of my family adventures as a kid to the wilds of Yellowstone and the Canadian Rockies, or from my trips as a teen to the Great Bear Rainforest to help document the spirit bear.
Today’s photo: Elk Silhouettes
These elk silhouettes stand against the fading light on a hillside in Waterton National Park in August of 2000. It was one of my favourite moments in the wild and I’ll never forget sharing it with my dear Dad, Clive Jackson – a wonderful photographer who taught me the skills I needed to become the photographer I am today.
Happy Birthday, Dad!
