Every week for Throwback Thursday we’ll post an image from the (slowly uploading) archive – a scanned slide or still – I took from one of my family adventures as a kid to the wilds of Yellowstone and the Canadian Rockies, or from my trips as a teen to the Great Bear Rainforest to help document the spirit bear.
Today’s photo: Limp Coyote
My family and I found this coyote near LeHardy Rapids in Yellowstone National Park in the spring of 2002.
Though one of the most beautiful coyotes I’ve ever photographed, it appeared to have a bad limp and possibly even a broken leg. His sad eyes told the tale of his likely fate.
