Every week for Throwback Thursday we’ll post an image from the (slowly uploading) archive – a scanned slide or still – I took from one of my family adventures as a kid to the wilds of Yellowstone and the Canadian Rockies, or from my trips as a teen to the Great Bear Rainforest to help document the spirit bear.
Today’s photo: Spirit Bear
It’s amazing to me that it took me almost a decade to scan and upload some of my spirit bear images, but alas I’m now thoroughly enjoying this walk down memory lane.
This photo – like others you’ve likely seen featured during our Throwback Thursday showcase – is photographed on Princess Royal Island in the heart of the Great Bear Rainforest.
While I have better shots, I do love the uniqueness of this old bear searching for salmon not along a river bank, but along the ocean shore.
